Kraft Shop and Score recognized Oahu high schools that took part in the Shop and Score promotion recently with a check of $100,000. Monies go toward sports equipment and new athletic uniforms for the schools. MidWeek publisher Ron Nagasawa presents the Ben Franklin Award to Honolulu U.S. Postal Service marketing manager Gary Gardetto. The Ben Franklin Award was established by the National Newspaper Association and provides major postal customers with a way to recognize postal employees who have shown exceptional service. American Savings Bank presented the UH Rainbow Wahine Athletics program a check for $167,000 recently.The donation will help to continue the legacy of women’s athletics at the UH and also for improvements to UH Wahine Athletics facilities.
