Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Manu Boyd has been named cultural director of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. He worked previously as public information director for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

Craig Powers has been promoted to vice president of revenue and inventory management for the Hawaii timeshare operations of Marriott Vacation Club International. Powers served previously as vice president of revenue and inventory management for The Ritz-Carlton Club in Orlando, Fla.

Stanford S. Carr has been elected to the board of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation. Carr is president of Stanford Carr Development.

Steven Hong has been named project coordinator for Honua Kai North Enclave project on Maui for WCIT Architecture. Hong is experienced in both public and private sector projects and has a strong background in design, building planning, construction documentation, along with sustainable design and construction.

Bernadette Baraquio Hamada has earned nine Telly awards for the television show Living Local with the Baraquios. She is executive producer and creative director of the show.

Christie Oclaray has been hired as vice president of administration and human services to direct Aloha United Way with the asset management group. Oclaray’s past history includes working for Waikiki Trader Corporation.

Brett Kerr has been named assistant vice president of campaign for Aloha United Way. He will be responsible for analyzing and implementing strategic fundraising procedures and strengthening donor relationships.

Robin Harlow has been named director of travel industry sales for Aqua Hotels. He is responsible for wholesale partnerships for all 10 Aqua Hotels. Harlow oversees all relationships with both traditional wholesalers and Internet merchant models in the U.S. and International markets, excluding Asia, and reports directly to Elizabeth Churchill.

Tulinh LucianoDeSmith has been named the director of market sales for Aqua Hotels. LucianoDeSmith is responsible for associations, societies, institutes, medical, government, corporate and group business. She previously worked with the Waikiki Beach Resort Marriott Resort and Spa as a senior sales manager.

Evelyn Shiroma has been named sales manager for Aqua Waikiki Wave. She previously worked as sales manager at Ocean Tower Hotel.
