Sue Fujimoto

Sue Fujimoto has been appointed merchandising manager for City Mill Company Ltd. She was previously a division merchandising manager at DFS Hawaii. With more than 30 years of merchandising experience, she will manage and supervise the merchandising department at City Mill.

Unyong Nakata

Unyong Nakata has been promoted to assistant director of estate and gift planning for the University of Hawaii Foundation. In her new position she coordinates all marketing communications and assists with donor communication steward-ship.

Claire Goldberg

Claire Goldberg has joined the litigation group of the Honolulu law firm Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP. Goldberg received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was contributing editor to the Michigan Journal of International Law and an executive board member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.

Stacia Garlach

Stacia Garlach has been appointed assistant director of alumni relations, communications and marketing for the University of Hawaii Foundation. Some of her responsibilities include UH Alumni Association branding, producing the alumni online newsletter and developing membership marketing materials.

Rebecca Dayhuff

Rebecca Dayhuff has been named an attorney for the Honolulu law firm Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP’s real estate group. She earned a combined Master of Business Administration and a J.D. degree from the UHManoa, with focus on Pacific Asian legal studies.

Mangmang Qiu Brown

Mangmang Qiu Brown has been named director of international engagement for the University of Hawaii Foundation. She will be responsible for strategic planning and managing the Foundation’s international development unit.

Linh Hoang

Linh Hoang has been appointed director of development for Kapiolani Community College. She has been with the University of Hawaii Foundation since 2003 and was previously associate director of estate and gift planning.

John Lopianetzky

John Lopianetzky has been promoted to general manager of Pacific Beach Hotel. He served as the hotel’s director of food and beverage since 2003, and now he will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Waikiki Hotel.

Carissa Clark

Carissa Clark has been appointed assistant food and beverage director for Sheraton Waikiki. Clark began her lodging career in 1998 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco.

Nancy Daniels

Nancy Daniels has been promoted to director of public relations for Outrigger Enterprises Group. She will continue to be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of media relations, community relations, special promotions and events. She has been with the Outrigger since 1995 and previously served as public relations manager.

Revell Newton

Revell Newton has been hired as director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels and Resorts and will oversee the four Waikiki properties. Prior to his new position, Newton was director of sales and marketing at Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa.

Roseann Grippo

Roseann Grippo has been appointed hotel manager for Sheraton Waikiki. Prior to joining Sheraton Waikiki, she worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts as regional director of procurement NAD, Southeast and the Caribbean.

Matthew Gambetta

Matthew Gambetta has been elected vice president of REIT Management and Research LLC board by The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation. As vice president, Gambetta will oversee day-to-day management and leasing of industrial lands on Oahu, among other duties.

George Weir

George Weir has been named senior vice president and manager of the Trust Division of First Hawaiian Bank. With trust and investment experience, he previously held positions with Hawaiian Trust Company and other trust companies across the nation. Weir is the former director of the Hawaii Bar Foundation.

Jennifer Hee

Jennifer Hee has been named director of development for the William S. Richardson School of Law. Hee has been with the University of Hawaii Foundation since 2006 and will now be providing leadership in developing the law school’s overall strategy for fund development.

Cynthia Pascua

Cynthia Pascua has been promoted to development cultivation specialist for the Battleship Missouri Memorial. In her new position she focuses primarily on new member orientation, member events and weekly dignitary tours. Prior to her promotion, she served as a membership coordinator.

Susie Nguyen

Susie Nguyen has been named communications and public relations team leader for AlohaCare. Nguyen has been with AlohaCare since June 2006, and was most recently a public relations associate.

Gina Ogitani

Gina Ogitani has been appointed account manager for Success Advertising, a local recruitment ad agency. She was previously an account executive for Ka Nupepa People and has served on the board of directors for the Rotary Club of WahiawaWaialua.

Jade Moon

Jade Moon has been selected as a new member of The Hawaii Foodbank board of directors and will serve a three-year term. Moon is spokeswoman for HECO’s renewable energy and energy conservation campaigns and writes the “Moonlighting” column for MidWeek.
