Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Sara Grove

Sara Grove has been appointed assistant box office manager for Hawaii Theatre Center. She was formerly the box office/tour manager for Honolulu Theatre for Youth before joining Hawaii Theatre Center last October. Grove has more than seven years’ experience in theatre and box-office management.

Candace Yuen

Candace Yuen has been hired as senior sales manager for ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel. She will be responsible for the execution of all sales activities at the resort. Yuen was previously group sales manager at the Ala Moana Hotel.

Diane Fujikami

Diane Fujikami has been appointed real estate school instructor for Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in its Windward office. Fujikami has been a practicing real estate broker for more than 20 years and will prepare students for the state licensing exam. She has worked for several large real estate firms in addition to having her own brokerage.

Angel Natal

Angel Natalhas been named guest services manager for ResortQuest Hawaii at the Waikiki Banyan. Natal will oversee day-to-day operations for the front office and guest services department at the condominium resort. He has 15 years’experience in the hospitality industry.

Daniel Ho

Daniel Hohas been appointed president for Hawaii Self Storage. He will oversee all aspects of the company: development, operations, and sales and marketing. Ho previously served as general manager of Hawaii Self Storage for the past two years.

Brian Wong

Brian Wong has been promoted to senior vice president of MW Group, Ltd., a commercial real estate development firm. Wong will be responsible for the daily operations of the company including development, leasing, property management and administrative functions. Wong joined MW Group in 2003.

Larie Manutai

Larie Manutai has been named sales manager for the Polynesian Cultural Center’s Hawaii Sales Department. Manutai joined the center in 1992 as a member of its food service department and later joined the promotional team in 1998. In her new position, she will manage sales for a variety of military and education accounts.

Micah Chinen

Micah Chinen has been has been hired as product marketing and sales manager, Transportation for Roberts Hawaii. Chinen joined the company in March 2007 and brings with him seven years of retail management and sales experience. His responsibilities include developing and implementing a marketing plan to increase transportation sales through promotions and services.

Dr. Jeffrey Philpott

Dr. Jeffrey Philpott has been promoted to vice president of student affairs and enrollment management at Hawaii Pacific University. Under his direction, the division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management will work closely with Academic Affairs and the college deans to fully integrate the student experience.

Rhonda Goyke

Rhonda Goyke has been elected chapter vice chair for the U.S. Green Building Council, a national nonprofit group dedicated to expanding sustainable building practices. Goyke is also the co-owner of Green Sand Inc. Architect and Design. She has more than 17 years of experience in the environmental management field.
