Dena Galiza Togafau

Dena Galiza Togafau has been hired as catering sales manager for Kakaako Kitchen. She most recently served as convention sales coordinator at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. In her current position, Togafau’s duties will include meeting with potential clients to customize menus for parties and events and creating menus and budgets to meet clients’ needs.

Doreen Nozoe

Doreen Nozoe has been named general manager of Sheraton Waikiki’s RumFire. Nozoe has been with Starwood Hotels & Resorts since 2001 and previously served as manager of Esprit Lounge, Sand Bar and Kau Kau Lanai at Sheraton Waikiki.

Brian Hunnings

Brian Hunnings has been appointed director of food and beverage outlets at the Moana Surfrider. Prior to joining the Surfrider, Hunnings was food and beverage director for Hotel Hana Maui and has extensive experience in food and beverage management.

Katie MacNeil

Katie MacNeil has been appointed principal for Group 70 International. In this new position, MacNeil will have a prominent role in expanding the firm’s sustainable development division, as well as facilitating projects from conception to completion. Prior to joining Group 70 she served as associate and senior architect in New York City.

Kanani Tsugawa

Kanani Tsugawa has joined the sales and marketing executive team for KHNL NBC 8 and K5 The Home Team. Most recently Tsugawa served as account supervisor at the Harris Consultancy.

Shaun Salvador

Shaun Salvador has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Hawaii Self Storage. In this position, he will lead all marketing and sales aspects for the company. Salvador previously served as facility manager for Hawaii Self Storage.

Crystal Yamasaki

Crystal Yamasaki has been promoted to account executive for Bennet Group Strategic Communications. Her responsibilities include servicing several high-profile accounts such as Ala Moana Center, Windward Mall, Queen’s Marketplace at Waikoloa Beach Resort, among others. Yamasaki previously served as account staffer for the public relations firm.

Lillian McCarthy

Lillian McCarthy has been appointed management executive for Hawaiiana Management Company Ltd. McCarthy previously served as property manager for Certified Management Inc. for eight years. She is also a member of the industry professional organization, Community Associations Institute, where she serves as editor of its newsletter.

Roy Shimonishi

Roy Shimonishi has been hired as management executive for Hawaiiana Management Company Ltd. Shimonishi previously worked at Hawaii First Inc., where he was property manager and rental agent for three years. He also owned Hungry Lion Restaurant in Nuuanu for 25 years.
