Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Linda C. Miki

Linda C. Miki has been named president and chief operating officer of Group 70 International Inc. Miki will continue to be the principal-in-charge of computer operations and the Computer Aided Assets Management Division. She joined the architectural firm in 1989 and previously served as executive vice president.

Jeanne Datz-Rice

Jeanne Datz-Rice has been appointed senior vice president for McNeil Wilson Communications’ Travel and Tourism Division. Specializing in public relations, Datz-Rice has served previously as director of communications for The Waldorf-Astoria Collection brand and the U.S. Western Region for Hilton Hotels Corporation, based in Beverly Hills, Calif.

David Begley

David Begley has been hired as marketing representative for Xerox Hawaii. Begley’s responsibilities will include providing new and existing clients with solutions to effectively manage their documents. Prior to joining Xerox Hawaii he was as access specialist for Oceanic Time Warner Cable Business Class.

Alana Gaitley

Alana Gaitley has been appointed senior marketing manager for Mobi PCS. Gaitley will oversee marketing initiatives including retail merchandising, website development, Internet marketing and market research. She also will manage sales channel support. Gaitley most recently served as the over-the-counter program manager for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii.

Angela Coloretti

Angela Coloretti has been named executive director of College Connections Hawaii (CCH). CCH is an educational nonprofit organization committed to expanding educational opportunities for Hawaii’s students. As executive director, Coloretti will continue to build the strength of CCH’s tutoring, test preparation and counseling departments.

Bill Waring

Bill Waring has been appointed sustainable program coordinator for RIM Architects. Waring will manage the company’s sustainable program and assist the firm’s clients with the value of building green. He has 25 years of industry experience.

Chad Kawai

Chad Kawai has been promoted to accounting manager for Hawaiian Host Inc. He previously served as an accounting supervisor for the company’s accounting and finance team. In his new position, Kawai will manage the accounting department staff as well as all functions of the department.

Mark Yamada

Mark Yamada has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer for Hawaiian Host Inc. Yamada’s new responsibilities will include coordinating strategic planning and direction for the company. He also will oversee all finance and accounting aspects of Hawaiian Host.

Kelly Sakai

Kelly Sakai has been named senior loan officer for Finance Factors’ Kapiolani branch. Sakai was previously a sales associate at New Century Mortgage Corporation. She has more than eight years of financial industry experience and will be responsible for generating new business for residential mortgage loan sales.

Lisa Dela Cruz Lee

Lisa Dela Cruz Lee has been hired as senior loan officer for Finance Factors’ Kahala branch. Lee has more than 19 years of experience in Hawaii’s financial services industry. In her new position, she will be responsible for business development and administering a wide range of residential mortgage loans.

Susan Lai Young

Susan Lai Young has been named financial adviser for American Savings Bank. Young began her banking career as a financial relationship manager for Bank of America, Hawaii and also has experience working in the Hawaii state Legislature. She joined American Savings Bank as a financial consultant in January 2006.

Ramy Malaty

Ramy Malaty has been named human resources manager of benefits for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Waikiki. Malaty most recently worked as an employee benefits consultant for Milliman in New York City.

Joey Lucas

Joey Lucas has been promoted to patient services supervisor for The Hawaiian Eye Center’s Wahiawa office. Lucas previously served as a patient services representative for the center.

Richard Ing

Richard Ing has been elected as a director of the Hawaii Youth Symphony (HYS). Ing is an alumnus of HYS. He currently manages a variety of real estate holdings and also serves as a director of Variety School of Hawaii, Special Olympics Hawaii and USTA/Hawaii Pacific Section, among others.
