Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Thomas Fargo

Thomas Fargo has been appointed president and chief executive officer for Hawaii Superferry. He also is managing director of J.F. Lehman and Company. With 35 years of naval service, Adm. Fargo has served as commander of the U.S. Pacific Command and as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

Jennifer Cabasag

Jennifer Cabasag has been appointed senior sales manager for three Outrigger Hotels and Resorts beachfront properties in Hawaii. Cabasag will be responsible for sales and customer service in the retail travel agent and group and meetings markets. She previously worked with the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau as a regional director.

Nichole Shimamoto

Nichole Shimamoto has been named associate general counsel and compliance and bank secrecy act (BSA) officer for Finance Factors. Shimamoto will ensure that the company meets all regulatory requirements and is in compliance with all banking laws and regulations. She also will provide legal counsel and advice to the company, among other duties.

Moses Murakami

Moses Murakami has been hired as account executive of market development for Office Pavilion. With 20 years as a commercial sales executive, Murakami will specialize in commercial and government market development. Most recently he served as an account executive with Senetics.

Michelle Karr

Michelle Karr has been named pastry chef for Alan Wong’s Restaurant. As a 10-year staff member at the restaurant, Karr started as a dishwasher and worked her way up the ranks. Prior to her new position, she was a pastry sous chef.

KeAlii Alexander

KeAlii Alexander has been appointed area general manager for Aqua Aloha Surf and Spa, Aqua Palms and Spa and Aqua Waikiki Beachside hotels. Alexander joined Aqua Hotels and Resorts in 2007 as a general manager, and prior to that worked for ResortQuest Waikiki Beachside and Waikiki Beach Tower properties.

Vince Mauldin

Vince Mauldin has been hired as hotel manager for Aqua Waikiki Beachside of Aqua Hotels and Resorts. Most recently Mauldin was guest services manager for Aqua Coconut Plaza and had been assisting with special projects during the hotel’s renovation process.

Jill Matro

Jill Matro has been named program services director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Honolulu. In her new position, Matro will oversee all functions, activities and standards relating to the daily operations of the direct services program on Oahu and Kauai. She has more than six years of social service experience.

Anh Brow

Anh Brow has been appointed executive vice president of the International Banking Division for Bank of Hawaii. Brow previously served as senior vice president and international client banking manager. Prior to joining the bank, she worked as a management consultant at American Savings Bank.

Lyleth Asuncion-Yacapin

Lyleth Asuncion-Yacapin has been promoted to senior vice president and division manager of the Client Services Division for Bank of Hawaii. In this new position, she will be responsible for the bank’s Client Services Division, which includes managing the operations of the bank’s 24-hour customer call center. Asuncion-Yacapin joined the bank in 1992.
