Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Jimmy Liu

Jimmy Liuhas been named HomeLoan manager of Central Pacific HomeLoans. In this position, Liu will be responsible for the development and leadership of Central Pacific’s new branch in Kaimuki. He has seven years of industry experience as a team leader for GMAC.

Kim Randall

Kim Randall has been promoted to managing director of marketing for Communications Pacific. Randall joined the company in 2005 and now oversees the advertising, marketing services and web groups at CommPac. She brings with her more than 20 years of marketing experience.

Darrin Lin

Darrin Linhas been appointed senior vice president for Communications Pacific. Lin began working for the advertising agency two years ago and most recently served as creative director. Prior to that he came with 14 years’ experience in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, where he worked on national and international accounts ranging from Adidas to Volvo.

Curtis Caya

Curtis Caya has been hired as IT system administrator for Hawaiian Host Inc. In his new position, he will maintain company information systems, provide technical support and evaluate new software to maximize technical efficiency at Hawaiian Host. Caya previously served as a network/systems analyst for the Royal State Corporation.

Dale Ruff

Dale Ruffhas been appointed to the REHAB Foundation board. Ruff currently serves as regional vice president of Louis Vuitton, which is a sponsor of the Creative Arts program at REHAB. As a member of the board, he will help set the direction for the foundation. He has more than 25 years of experience at Louis Vuitton.

Kay Nakayoshi

Kay Nakayoshi has been promoted to revenue manager for Aqua Hotels & Resorts - Aqua Bamboo & Spa, Aqua Aloha Surf & Spa, Aqua Palms & Spa and Aqua Island Colony. Nakayoshi was previously Aqua’s contract sales manager.

Joy M. Takanishi

Joy M. Takanishi has been named compensation and benefits manager for Island Insurance’s human resources department. Takanishi has 20 years of human resources experience and will be responsible for the management and administration of profit sharing and incentive plans, stock plans and executive compensation, among others.

Laura Malone

Laura Malone has been appointed reservations manager for Aqua Hotels & Resorts, where she will oversee the central reservations department. Malone previously served as assistant reservations manager at Hilton Hawaiian Village and also has worked for SATO Travel in Washington, D.C.
