Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Susan Scott

Susan Scott has been named interim executive director of Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneur-ship (PACE) for the UH Shidler College of Business. In her new position, Scott will strengthen PACE’s existing programs by re-engaging the local business community. She spent 17 years working in senior management positions at several start-up companies in California and Hawaii.

Mitchell Kaaialii

Mitchell Kaaialii has been elected president of the University of Hawaii Alumni Association (UHAA) for the 2008-2009 term. He began volunteering with the University of Hawaii in 2001 and served as vice president for UHAA for the past two years. Kaaialii was previously appointed to a three-year term on the board in 2005.

Franz

Franz “Robi” Solmssen Jr. has been hired as an associate in industrial brokerage services for CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), a commercial real estate and services firm. Solmssen brings eight years of leasing and sales experience to the firm, and previously worked for Sofos Realty Corporation, where he represented both landlords and tenants in the office, retail and industrial markets.

Shannon Sagum

Shannon Sagum has joined the Labor and Employment group for Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP, a law firm serving all aspects of civil law for domestic and international clients. As an attorney, she is experienced in the investigation of discrimination and harassment, dealing with governmental regulatory agencies and all aspects of litigation.

Bill M. McKillop

Bill M. McKillop has been named vice president of Business & Credit Services for Hawaii Central Credit Union. McKillop most recently served as a commercial banking officer for Central Pacific Bank. He has more than 28 years of experience at various financial institutions.

Beth Whitehead

Beth Whitehead has been appointed executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel for American Savings Bank. Whitehead will oversee contracts and procurement, community development, facilities, human resources, marketing and communications, among other duties. She previously served as assistant general counsel and senior vice president for First Horizon National Corporation.

Brian Sheehy

Brian Sheehy has been named an attorney for the litigation group of Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel, LLP. Sheehy will focus his practice on business disputes, construction, personal injury and medical malpractice. He previously worked for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems as a management engineer and a patent attorney/ engineer.
