Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Glenn Roberts

Glenn Roberts has been hired as chief financial officer for ProService Hawaii. Prior to joining the company, Roberts served as vice president of finance at Markettools in San Francisco. He is a certified management accountant, certified in financial management as well as six sigma certified.

Michael Chinaka

Michael Chinaka has been named chief financial officer for the YMCA of Honolulu. As part of the association’s executive team, Chinaka’s responsibilities include managing the areas of accounting, information services and human resources. He has more than 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance for nonprofit organizations and other local companies.

Joanne Lo Grimes

Joanne Lo Grimes has been appointed a managing partner at the law firm Carlsmith Ball LLP. Based in the Honolulu office, Grimes specializes in the area of fiduciary representation and has practiced law in Guam prior to coming to Hawaii. She also serves as vice president/president-elect for Hawaii Women Lawyers.

Lori McCarney

Lori McCarney has been named Hawaii Chapter president of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). McCarney will serve a two-year term with the organization, which raises money and directs it toward juvenile diabetes research. She also works at Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties as senior vice president.

Monica Fedri

Monica Fedri has been appointed an assistant restaurant manager for the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa. In this position, Fedri will oversee the resort’s newest Starbucks Coffee location in the Alii Tower Plaza. She will supervise the staff and be responsible for the shop’s daily operations. Most recently, she served as assistant store manager for Starbucks Coffee in Phoenix.

Suzy Ford

Suzy Ford has been hired as public relations and promotions manager - Food & Beverage for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Waikiki. Ford’s responsibilities will include public relations, promotions and special events efforts for the company’s restaurants. Prior to joining Starwood, she opened and served as groups and marketing manager for Señor Frog’s in Royal Hawaiian Center.

Clif ford Jamile

Clif ford Jamile has been appointed chief executive officer for KilaKila Employer Services. Jamile has 20 years’ experience in human resource management, labor/management relations and professional employer organizations. His duties include planning, directing and coordinating all operational and financial activities.

Neil Takekawa

Neil Takekawa has been named vice president of sales and marketing for the Hawaii Superferry. He previously served as president of Roberts Hawaii. Takekawa will oversee sales and marketing, business development, community relations and customer experience operations.
