Albert Pattison has been appointed executive vice president for Hawaiiana Group Inc. He comes to Hawaiiana from Aloha Airlines, where he served as senior vice president, Human Resources and Administration. Pattison has more than 35 years of human resource experience in Hawaii.

Stephanie Ackerman has been named vice president, public policy and communications for The Gas Company LLC. Prior to joining the company, she served as senior vice president for Aloha Airlines. Ackerman will now oversee the company’s corporate communications, public relations, government affairs and community outreach programs.

Nickie Kornya has been awarded the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) designation from the International Financial Services Association. This designation is given to those individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of documentary credit. Kornya is a letter of credit officer in the Trade Finance Department at First Hawaiian Bank. She is responsible for assisting customers and banking officers with complex letter of credit transactions.

Charlotte Cox has been named development associate for Hawaii Theatre Center. In her new position, Cox will be responsible for all fundraising and grant-writing activities for the theatre. She most recently worked with the Smithsonian Institution’s Department of Anthropology as a member of an exhibition development team.

Duncan MacNaughton has been elected chair of the Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii. MacNaughton is the founding partner and chairman of The MacNaughton Group and has served on the Conservancy’s board since 1994.

Scott Schmidtke has been appointed assistant to the general manager for Hawaii Theatre Center. Schmidtke will oversee the coordination of event contracts and assist in the promotion of Hawaii Theatre Center productions.

Derek Worchel has been hired as real estate manager for CB Richard Ellis Asset Services, specializing in retail. Worchel previously served as an assistant property manager at PM Realty group. He also worked as a mortgage agent at Clear Mortgage, where he assisted in establishing property worth.

Vince Liem has been hired as a stage manager for Hawaii Theatre’s operations team. Liem spent the last two years as theatre manager for Mamiya Theatre, and will now be responsible for facility and equipment maintenance as well as technical support for productions at the theatre.

William Y. Shiroma has been promoted to branch manager for the Waiakamilo branch of Bank of Hawaii. His responsibilities include managing daily operations of the branch such as sales and customer service inquiries. Shiroma has more than 22 years of banking experience and most recently served as service manager for the main Downtown branch.
