Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Robin K. Medeiros has been named chief operating officer for Star Protection Agency. In his new position, Medeiros’ responsibilities include overseeing corporate operations and supporting general functions including guard services, investigations, executive protection and risk management.

Paul Chang has been appointed director of resident services for Kahala Nui, a senior living retirement community. Chang will oversee the concierge, valet services, resident safety and security, and resident satisfaction programs. Chang brings more than 14 years of hotel management experience to his new position.

Kim Lehano has been hired as marketing and compliance director for Hawaii Electricians Market Enhancement Program. She is responsible for marketing the electrical industry in Hawaii as well as working to ensure that compliance and enforcement of licensing, prevailing wages and regulatory requirements are being upheld. She also currently works as a professor of studies at University of Phoenix and the University of Hawaii’s Leeward Community College.

Gabriel Chong has been hired as project engineer for Suntech Hawaii, a renewable energy company specializing in solar photovoltaic and hot water systems. In this role, Chong’s responsibilities include managing solar installation projects from start to finish. He previously worked as a junior engineer at Uvitron and at Hoku Scientific Inc.

Robert N. Nichols has been appointed vice president and senior credit risk review officer in the Internal Audit/Credit Review Department for Bank of Hawaii. His duties include credit-risk examinations and analyzing the bank’s retail credit risk. Nichols has been with the bank since 2000.
