Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Alan Agenahas been hired as a residential project consultant for Sunetric Hawaii. Agena brings 10 years of sales and design experience and previously worked at D&D Furniture and Corporate Environments Inc. He now will be responsible for working with Hawaii homeowners to find the best solar systems to meet their needs.
Jansen Tanaka has been hired as Hawaii district manager for Qmania, a website for great deals and promotions. Tanaka previously served as promotions manager for Tantriq Entertainment LLC and a mortgage solicitor with Graham Mortgages. He also volunteers for several community services, including Kaleoaloha Keiki Choir.
Char Chang has been promoted from account director to vice president for Bennet Group Strategic Communications. Chang will oversee the Consumer Marketing Division, working with clients in the health, education, travel, retail and real estate industries to develop successful communication strategies and campaigns.
Stuart H. Coleman has been named Hawaiian Islands field coordinator for the Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches. In this position, Coleman’s duties include working with Surfrider chapters across the state to help increase their membership and promote key environmental programs.
Gary Gill has been hired as program director for Blue Planet Foundation. Gill’s responsibilities include developing and implementing the foundation’s priority conservation, energy efficiency and community engagement activities. He is a former environmental director for the state of Hawaii and former chairman of the Honolulu City Council.
Dr. Don Weir has been named executive director for the University of Hawaii’s football booster club, Na Koa. In this new position, Weir will be responsible for coordinating the booster club’s fundraising campaign that supports the annual operational needs of the Warrior football program. He was a two-year letter-winner in football in the 1970s.
Joshua Stanbro has been hired as program director for environment and sustainability at the Hawaii Community Foundation. He previously served as principal of Creative Commons, an environmental consulting firm based in Colorado and Honolulu. Stanbro also was project manager for The Trust for Public Land from 2002 to 2007.
