Sherrie E. Niimi has been named senior interior designer at Long & Associates. She will be responsible for project management, creating custom furnishings and hand-drawn renderings. Niimi has been with the firm since 1999, and previously worked for Pilo Fine European Furnishings and Interior Systems.

Kenneth Newman has been named vice president of security for American Savings Bank. Newman has 13 years of security experience in financial services. He previously worked for Deutsche Bank in New York as global head of infrastructure security assurance.

Lee Ann Matsuda has been voted Na Kilohana O Wahine Chapter American Business Women’s Association Woman of the Year and ABWA Top 10 Nominee. Matsuda is with Easter Seals Hawaii.

Carlisa Thompson has joined RE/MAX Honolulu as a Realtor associate.

B.J. Whitman has joined Communications Pacific as a director in corporate communications. She previously worked at Sheraton Hotels as public relations director for more than 15 years.

Bruce Coppa has joined Communications Pacific as senior vice president. His past employment includes being a consultant and serving as executive director of the Pacific Resource Partnership.

Kore Waymack Bormann has been promoted to the position of management executive for Hawaiiana Management Company. She served as an administrative assistant for the company for the past two years.

My-Le Flores has been named management executive and operations specialist of Hawaiiana Management Company.

Tricia Buskirk has been named creative services manager at Hawaii State Federal Credit Union. She previously worked with a mortgage software company in California.

Bennette Misalucha Evangelista has been appointed to the board of regents for Chaminade University. Evangelista is vice president and regional director for community relations for Actus Lend Lease.

Scott B. Gomes has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president for CB Richard Ellis Hawaii. He is a founding member of CBRE Hawaii’s Hotel and Resort Division in Honolulu.

Frances N. Okazaki has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president for CB Richard Ellis Hawaii. She will oversee the office properties department of CBRE Hawaii.

Kalani Schrader has been promoted from senior vice president to executive vice president for CB Richard Ellis Hawaii. He is an office properties specialist who joined the company in 1989.
