Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Arin Antonio has been named chef de cuisine for the Hoakalei Country Club. In this position, Antonio will oversee the club’s casual dining until the permanent clubhouse is completed. He also will be responsible for catering the club’s monthly social events as well as members’ private events, among other duties.

Mitchell K. Nomura has been named vice president and wholesale credit administrator for Bank of Hawaii’s Wholesale Credit Department. Nomura’s responsibilities include supporting commercial banking and private banking clients. He previously served as senior vice president and credit team lead for City National Bank’s Northern California Credit Support Group.

Mike Malik has been appointed chairman of the American Heart Association’s Metro Oahu Board of Directors. Malik has more than 20 years of experience in the air transportation and information technology markets in leading positions with major companies in both sectors in the U.S., Europe and the Pacific Rim. Malik also has experience in managing broad and complex responsibilities, leading penetration of national and global markets, and building relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Kelly A. Blankenship has been hired as vice president and credit compliance officer for Bank of Hawaii’s Corporate Compliance Department. Blankenship manages the bank’s consumer credit compliance programs, among other duties.

Colleen M. Chun has been hired as a senior partner at Island Realtors. Chun has more than 20 years of real estate experience and in 2007 was named CRS of the year.

Wes Machida has been named administrator of the state of Hawaii Employees’ Retirement System. Machida plans to focus on customer service to members. He served as ERS assistant administrator since 2000 and previously worked in the Office of the Auditor, Hawaii State Legislature.

Aolani Esene has been promoted to purchasing and outside sales manager for Bella Pietra. Esene oversees purchasing and outside sales for the natural stone company. She previously served as the company’s human resources and payroll manager.
