Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Jared Ikeda has been named vice president of Avalon Commercial, a commercial brokerage arm of Avalon Group. Ikeda oversees all of Avalon Commercial’s activity investment sales, leasing and general brokerage. He previously served as broker in charge for Avalon Development Company.

Isaac Kosasa has been promoted from claims manager to assistant vice president of litigation for First Insurance Company of Hawaii. Kosasa has worked in the company’s claims department since 1989, starting as a senior adjuster before being promoted to technical specialist in 1992 and senior technical specialist in 1997. Previously, he held claims positions at American International Adjustment Company, Fireman’s Fund and Commercial Union Insurance.

Jocelyn Des Laurier has been appointed business development manager for DCK Pacific Construction LLC. In this position, Des Laurier will focus on prospecting for and securing commercial construction projects. She also is responsible for developing industry relationships, conducting marketing programs and building corporate awareness.

Alan Castillo has been named assistant vice president-campaign for Aloha United Way. Castillo will assist with the operations of the annual fundraising campaign and strengthening donor relationships. He previously worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Honolulu as a partnership development coordinator.

Shauna Goya has been hired as a senior account executive for Communications Pacific. Prior to joining the firm, Goya worked for 10 years as a copy editor at The Honolulu Advertiser, serving her last couple of years posting breaking news online.

Renee Lee has been promoted from administrative assistant to office manager for Graham Builders. In this role, Lee will be in charge of HR management, scheduling meetings and managing office functions. She joined the company in 2007 and prior to that served as a shift supervisor at Compleat Kitchen in Kahala Mall.

Dolores Bahnsen has been named Realtor-associate for Coldwel Banker Pacific Properties’ Leeward Oahu office. Newly licensed in real estate, Bahnsen was previously an optician on the Mainland and managed retail optical shops and optometrist offices.
