Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Gail M. M. Evers has been promoted by Bank of Hawaii to senior vice president and manager, Consumer and Business Deposit Products, in the Consumer Deposits Department. Evers joined BOH in 1982 as an advanced management trainee.

Krista Song has been promoted to senior manager of public accounting firm Accuity LLP. Song has been with the firm for six years working with clients from a variety of industries including hospitality, nonprofit organizations, employee benefit planning and state and local government agencies. Song received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Vishwas Bhatia has been appointed senior director of Aston Hotels. Previously Bhatia headed up revenue management for Oberoi Group, which includes 30 hotels in six countries. He received his Master of Hospitality Administration from Cornell University and completed graduate studies with Cornell ESSEC at the University of Paris.

Keiko Recto has been promoted to the position of guest services supervisor by the Aston Pacific Monarch Hotel. Recto, who has been with the Aston Monarch since 2003, has played a crucial role as a guest service agent and Japanese language specialist.

Keoni Vaughn has been named director of operations for Hawaiian Humane Society. Vaughn will oversee more than 40 employees in several departments including animal care, admissions, adoptions, lost and found services, and field investigations. Prior, Vaughn served as the humane society’s manager of field services. He began his career at the humane society as a humane investigator in 2004 and was director of operations for Enoa Tours prior to that.
