Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Andrea R Gruber has been promoted by Bank of Hawaii from assistant vice president and compliance training administrator to vice president and compliance training administrator in Corporate Compliance. Gruber now will be responsible for administering the Corporate Compliance training program for the bank, which includes coordinating various training initiatives to ensure bank employees receive adequate training on a range of compliance topics. Gruber joined Bank of Hawaii in 1995 as a teller and then moved on to various training management positions.

Richard Chang has been named general manager of Windward Mall, where he will oversee day-to-day operations. Chang brings a diverse background in finance and real estate to the position. For the past five years, he served as senior real estate manager for CB Richard Ellis, managing several properties on Oahu, including Aina Haina Shopping Center, 280 Beachwalk, Moanalua Center, Stadium Marketplace and Kapolei Commons. Prior to that, Chang worked as a senior accountant for Victoria Ward (GGP) from 2002 to 2006 and as business manager of the New Times Los Angeles from 1998 to 2002.

Alan Arakawa has been appointed to the UH Foundation Board of Trustees. Arakawa is senior vice president of planning at A&B Properties Inc. Prior to joining A&B Arakawa served as president of Waiawa Ridge Development LLC. Responsible for residential development operations. Arakawa is a member of the Hawaii Developers Council and has served on the board’s development and construction industry organizations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Jeff Craddock has joined First Hawaiian Bank’s Wealth Management team as a wealth adviser. Craddock will work closely with customers to assist them with their financial planning and investment needs. He has more than 18 years of financial planning experience, including six years with FHB. Previously Craddock was responsible for providing investment strategies and opportunities for increasing wealth for clients.

Reid Kondo been appointed assistant administrator for Leahi Hospital. Konda served previously as an assistant administrator for Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Kondo will oversee the hospital’s housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, dietary, adult-day health and radiology departments.
