Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Sarah Slay has been named managing director of human resources operations by Hawaiian Airlines. A certified public accountant, Slay is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of compensation, benefits and services that Hawaiian Airlines provides to its 4,000-plus employees.

Lee Moriwaki has joined Central Pacific Bank as senior vice president and head of business operations information management. Lee brings to the bank a diverse background in retail banking, retail brokerage, finance, investments, operations and information technology. Prior to joining CPB, Lee was senior executive vice president and managing committee member of mortgage banking at Bank of Hawaii.

Lori Okawa-Alvarez has been promoted to vice president of human resources for Maui Divers Jewelry. She will be responsible for organizational development, employment, employee relations, benefits, and safety and health.

Alan Acacio has been promoted by American Carpet One from apprentice to journeyman. Acacio has been a carpet apprentice for the past five years.

Tim Motts has been named executive director of Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii. Motts is a lifelong nonprofit sector professional who dedicated his career to serving young people and helping increase their educational and community engagement. For the past five years, Motts served as the chief professional officer (executive director) of the Boys & Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley. During his tenure, Motts doubled the outreach and impact of the nonprofit.
