Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Karen Berry has been promoted to vice president of labor and employee relations for Hawaiian Airlines. Berry is responsible for leading an employee relations team that provides support and counsel to Hawaiian’s employees. She also will lead collective bargaining efforts with the company’s unionized employees. Berry joined Hawaiian in 1990 as director of corporate planning.

Tina Au has been appointed wholesale account executive at Territorial Savings Bank. Au has 30 years of mortgage experience, starting her career as a processor at International Savings and Loan. She is fluent in Chinese and currently serves on the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii board.

Craig Anderson has been appointed general manager for the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa. Anderson has served in the hospitality industry for the past 26 years, including as general manager of The Westin Maui Resort & Spa since 2002, and general manager of the Princeville Hotel on Kauai from 1999 to 2002. Before moving to Hawaii, Anderson was director of operations for The Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Ariz.,

Ivan Moors has been promoted by American Carpet One from apprentice to journeyman. Moors has been with American Carpet One for the past five years.

Deborah Crown, Ph.D., has been appointed dean of the College of Business Administration at Hawaii Pacific University. Crown was previously at San Jose State University, where she was the Lucas endowed professor of strategic leadership and associate dean of the Lucas Graduate School of Business. She had oversight of seven graduate business programs and graduate programs in partnership with the Colleges of Science and Engineering.
