Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Debra Aliviado has been appointed as store manager for Simply Organized LLC. Aliviado will oversee all aspects of retail operations at the Kapolei store. She was most recently at Apple Inc., responsible for operations and management of the repair department. Prior to that, Aliviado was business accounts manager and store manager at several AT&T retail stores. Aliviado brings extensive skills in management, training, merchandising, inventory control and customer service.

Esther S. Yoo has been appointed assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Hawaii Pacific University. Previously, she held faculty positions at Hollins University in Virginia and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Yoo serves as artistic director of Oahu Choral Society and conducts both the Honolulu Symphony Chorus and Honolulu Chamber Choir. She is president of the Hawai’i chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and music director at Christ United Methodist Church.

David Herndon has been appointed UnitedHealthcare’s newest chief operating officer. Herndon has extensive financial experience in health care, most recently as president and owner of Island Medical Supplies. He has worked previously as Ohana Health Plan’s CFO and earlier with UnitedHealthcare, where he was responsible for Medicare payfor-performance programs and physician contract modeling.

Steven Karr has been named Synergy HomeCare Hawaii’s social media specialist. Karr joined the practice as a marketing assistant, and brings his knowledge and experience in sales and marketing via social media and public relations. He will be responsible for the development, strategic planning and tracking of various forms of social media.
