Betty White

Betty White has been named to a two-year term as a trustee of The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools. She will join a 15-member international board. She is the head of school for Sacred Hearts Academy.

Krissy Izumi-Nitao

Krissy Izumi-Nitao has been elected nominating chair for the Junior League of Honolulu for 2005-06. Izumi-Nitao manages two federal grants-for the Attorney General’s Office involving investigating and prosecuting computer-related crimes.

Martha Balkin

Martha Balkin has been named parliamentarian for the Junior League of Honolulu for 2005-06. Balkin is a past president of the JLH. She is the director of the Employee Assistance Program at Workplace Solutions Inc.

Sharon K. Ohata

Sharon K. Ohata has been appointed vice president of claims consulting services for Atlas Insurance Agency. She previously worked as vice president of the workers’ compensation department of John Mullen and Company.

Steve Metter

Steve Metter has been named to the corporate advisory board for McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. He is CEO and principal of MW Group and principal broker of MW Commercial Realty.

Kitty Lagaretta

Kitty Lagaretta has been named to the corporate advisory board for McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. She is CEO and chairman of Communica-tions Pacific.

Carnet Williams

Carnet Williams has joined Hawaii Business and Entrepreneur Acceleration Mentors (HiBEAM). Williams’ employment history includes serving as director of Invasive Species and World Trade at The Nature Conservancy of Hawaii, and as a consultant to Punahou School.

Danya Schiappa

Danya Schiappa has joined Aloha Aina Mortgage as a loan officer. She specializes in refinances and customizing mortgage loans to fit the client’s specific needs.

Ron Shiraishi

Ron Shiraishi has been named sales and marketing executive for KHNL-TV and KFVETV. He previously worked as the business development manager at Office Max.
