Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Alan White has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information officer from vice president of operations and information technology at Outrigger Enterprises. White has more than 20 years of senior management experience in the lodging, and travel industries.

Cara Mazzei has been named director of marketing and communications for YMCA of Honolulu. She previously worked as marketing services manager at International Sports Australia.

Carolyn Matsutani has been named director of human resources for YMCA of Honolulu. She previously worked in Indiana as the human resources manager at Galyan’s Trading Company.

Jesse Valentine Portz joins Peter Vincent & Associates as an architect. He has more than eight years of design experience.

Jessica Work joins Peter Vincent & Associates as an interior designer. She has worked on various commercial and civic projects. She is a 2004 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in Interior Design.

Lenore Lum joins Peter Vincent & Associates as office manager. She was a supervisor of sales and merchandising for the past seven years at a specialty sporting goods company. She holds a Bachelor in Fashion Merchan-dising from the University of Hawaii.

Richard Scholl has been appointed vice president of maintenance and engineering for Aloha Airlines. He has 45 years experience in aviation, starting as a mechanic and captain in the U.S. Navy in 1960.

Debbie Odo has been elected chairwoman of the Tobacco-Free Oahu Coalition. She is director of tobacco control with the American L u n g Association of Hawaii.

Kari Wheeling has been elected vice chairwoman of the Tobacco-Free Oahu Coalition. Wheeling is project coordinator of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies.

Ken Miller has been elected secretary of the Tobacco-Free Oahu Coalition. Miller is director of The Center.
