Joe Leong

Joe Leong has been appointed circulation director for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and MidWeek. He has served as the circulation marketing manager for The Honolulu Advertiser for the past six years. His past employment includes serving as circulation director for The Times in Shreveport, LA. Leong has 20 years of newspaper circulation marketing experience.

Jean Kawamoto

Jean Kawamoto joins Team Vision as account group director. Her past employment includes seven years at BBDO Malaysia and was responsible for more than $4.5 million in annual billings with Kentucky Fried Chicken as her primary account, that was a category leader in the market.

Max Guenther

Max Guenther has been promoted from associate to senior associate for Peter Vincent & Associates. Guenther joined PVA in 1996 as architect and principal designer of residential and commercial work.

Michael Subiaga

Michael Subiaga has been promoted from associate to senior associate for Peter Vincent & Associates. Subiaga joined PVA in 1997 and is a project manager.

Steve Golden

Steve Golden has been elected president to the 2006-2007 board of directors for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Hawaii chapter. He is vice president of external affairs for The Gas Company.

Cy Bridges

Cy Bridges has been named president of the Native Hawaiian Hospitality Association. He works with the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Patrick Matsumoto

Patrick Matsumoto has been named business relationship manager for American Savings Bank. He previously worked at Bank of Hawaii as a corporate banking portfolio management officer. He has more than six years of experience in the banking industry.

Alissa J. Arp

Alissa J. Arp has been appointed vice president for Research and dean of the College of Natural Sciences at Hawai’i Pacific University. Arp will implement and oversee an active research program at Hawaii Pacific University as well as further the integration of Hawaii Pacific University with the Oceanic Institute.
