Jane Miyake


Jane Miyake was promoted to assistant vice president of membership service for Hawaii Medical Service Association. Miyake is responsible for overseeing membership database for dues billing, collection, reconciliation and payment, and business reporting functions. She was previously director of HMSA’s product management.

Roy Mizushima

Roy Mizushima was promoted to assistant vice president of professional reimbursement for Hawaii Medical Service Association. Mizushima is responsible for overseeing the development of reimbursement strategies, policies and rates for physician, outpatient, laboratory, radiology and nonfacility services. He was previously director of HMSA’s provider reimbursements and contracting.

Janna Nakagawa

Janna Nakagawa was promoted to assistant vice president of personnel for the Hawaii Medical Service Association. Nakagawa is responsible for human resources, benefits and compensation. She was previously manager of HMSA’s work-force and business initiatives.

James Shigeo Dixon

James Shigeo Dixon has been named assistant vice president of compliance and governmental affairs for Island Insurance Company. He was previously an attorney with the Law Offices of Marvin S.C. Dang.

Jeremy Michelson

Jeremy Michelson has earned the Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control designation. Michelson is an engineer with Oceanit.

Jay Stone

Jay Stone has earned the Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control designation. Stone is an engineer with Oceanit. The certification program is sponsored by the Soil and Water Conservation Society and the International Erosion Control Association, in cooperation with the American Society of Agronomy.

Yoshifumi Furusawa

Yoshifumi Furusawa has been promoted to vice president in charge of creative and new business development from creative director for Wincubic. He is responsible for overseeing the creative department of Wincubic including the staffing, content and production of Aloha Street magazine and Aloha-Street.com.

Andrew Touma

Andrew Touma has been named director of accounting for Bishop Museum. Touma has been working with Bishop Museum as a full-time temporary hire since 2006.

Arlene Sarte

Arlene Sarte has joined Energy Industries as human resources manager. Sarte previously worked as human resources administrator for Ameron Hawaii and the Pflueger Automotive Group. Her past employment includes working for more than 15 years as an accountant in the profit and non-profit sectors.

Jocelyn Morales

Jocelyn Morales has been hired as a medical services representative for Hawaiian Eye Center. Morales previously handled administrative work for Clay Eye Physicians and Surgeons in Florida.

Bruce Musrasrik

Bruce Musrasrik has been promoted to hotel manager for the OHANA Islander Waikiki Hotel. He will be responsible for all day-to-day hotel operations and oversee all departments including maintenance, housekeeping and front desk. He has more than 10 years of hospitality experience and has been with the Outrigger/OHANA family since 1996.
