Dear Pamela,

I would like to give a big MAHALO to Bill and Ryan from $9.99 Carpet Cleaners.

I thought I was going to have to reupholster my sofas because they were so dirty. Ryan said he could clean them, and when they finished they were like new, thus saving me $1,000! They also made my carpets look new. As they were leaving, my husband asked Bill how to clean the outdoor tile. Bill said he had a machine that would clean it and he would stop by one day next week to do it. Honestly, we never expected to see them again. Sure enough, later that week Ryan stopped by and cleaned the tile. It looks amazing! The surprising part was he wouldn’t accept any additional money. He said it was a gift from $9.99 Carpet Cleaners to the Davis family thanking us for being their clients. I wish all businesses ran this way. How refreshing.

Dear Linda,

$9.99 Carpet Cleaners says you’ve been regular customers, so it was a pleasure to see you again. Rather than single out specific employees, they’d like the whole company to get the credit. “It was a really small area of tile near the doorway that needed to be cleaned,” says a company spokesman.

“We have equipment that can do it in five minutes, whereas by hand it would take you all day. They’ve been good customers.”

Dear Pamela,
I rode to Tripler with the excellent HandiVan Service, going there with Mr. Gary Wayne Nettles, and on the return trip with Cora Filoteo, both caring and courteous.

This is a difficult job they perform with such grace. They are, above all, good drivers. Some areas are difficult, but they manage. These drivers are special people. They treat every person in a polite gentle manner.

I am so thankful to be able to enjoy this very caring service.

Dear Delores, Michelle Kennedy, director of marketing and communications at Oahu Transit Services, thanks you for being a loyal TheHandi-Van rider.

“Gary Nettles has been a TheHandi-Van operator since February 1994,” she says. “His enthusiasm, communication and customer service skills are demonstrated daily. Coronella Filoteo has been a TheHandi-Van operator since October 2008. Her commitment to provide quality service is exemplified in her interactions with her riders. Gary and Coronella are just two of the 231 TheHandi-Van Operators who provide outstanding customer service on a daily basis.” Congratulations to Mr. Nettles and Ms. Filoteo on a JOB WELL DONE!
