Aloha Pamela,

I want to take this opportunity to thank the “Guardian Angel” who came to the kind aid and rescue of my mother when she fell on the bus. She hit her forehead, blacked out and was unable to get up. When she opened her eyes, the Guardian Angel helped her up to a seat, and also extended an offer to escort her home to be certain she got home safely. My heartfelt appreciation to this kind Guardian Angel on the No. 5 bus who helped my mother that day. I am so very thankful to you.

Dear Pamela,

After taking my son to a pet store we went back to my car to head home. As I was getting ready to leave, a couple approached me. The man informed me they saw a man back into my car and drive away. I noticed that my bumper was

pushed in. The man gave me the license plate number and description of the car as well as the time of the accident. He did not, however, want to give me his name because he said he just wanted to let me know. Because of his actions, I was able to call and file a police report with their information. To make a long story short, I am able to repair my car with no cost to me because of the information that he provided. If the Good Samaritan hadn’t gotten involved, I would be stuck with the bill for repairing my car (which is quite substantial). I just want to let him and his fiancee know that I am grateful for their actions and for being good citizens. A big “thank you” goes out to them!

In this day and age where many people “don’t want to get involved” it is refreshing to know that people are willing to go out of their way to help someone.

Dear Pamela,

I’d like to applaud Robert for being a “knight in shining armor” for my elderly parents. Their car died in the parking lot of Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. Robert came up and offered his help. He not only tried to jump their car battery, but when that

didn’t work, he went to City Mill to buy a part for the car. After working on their car for a while, he got it running!

He was truly an angel for my 86-year-old dad and 76-year-old mom!
