Dear Pamela, As my wheelchair-bound mother and I waited for about an hour on the sidewalk in front of Pali Florist and Gift Shop on Kuulei Road for a Handi-Van pickup, people from the shop came out to check on our well-being. Then a young woman from the shop gave each of us a bunch of beautiful red roses. It was certainly an unexpected and happy surprise. This kind gesture made the rest of our wait tolerable and reaffirmed our belief that the spirit of aloha is alive and well in Hawaii, especially in Kailua. When the next occasion arises that requires flowers, you can be sure that we will be patronizing Pali Florist and Gift Shop!

Dear Lauren, Your Red Rose Angel is Taimane Vegas. Feeling the spirit of community, owner Bob Ciaccio gave the green light for Taimane to share the beautiful blossoms.

Aloha Pamela, I would like to give some APPLAUSE and my deepest gratitude to an outstanding employee of Longs Mililani Town Center.

Sometime after visiting the pharmacy I discovered I had lost my company bank bag with $1,000 in cash and deposit receipts. My head started to spin.

Then a miracle happened. An employee in the pharmacy informed me that someone did in fact find my bank bag and that it was turned in to the store manager. Much to my utter joy and relief I retrieved my bank bag with everything in it.

Words alone cannot express my deepest gratitude to the outstanding employee of Longs Mililani Town Center. May your life be blessed as you have blessed me.

Dear Geri, Patricia Mamalias found your bag. “She found it sitting on the counter and knew it must have been important,” says Longs Mililani Town Center pharmacy manager Jared Kumasaka. “It happens all the time. People leave wallets, keys, licenses, cards, you name it. Everyone on the crew is used to finding things. If we have time we call the people up ourselves. It’s part of helping our customers.”
