President & CEO of Aloha Contract Services/Pacific Air Cargo

Pacific Air Cargo, my second air service company, was founded in 2000, with the mission to provide superior air cargo service to Hawaii and the Pacific Islands. I’m pleased to report we have been successful, with hubs at both LAX and HNL.

Then in 2008, when the opportunity arose to purchase the contract services division of Aloha Airlines, we chose to make that move.

Owning ACS, we were now the choice provider of passenger, cargo and aircraft maintenance services for our visitors and the people of Hawaii. This is a market position that has been supported and continually strengthened by our growing roster of 31 major airline clients we serve. They are the biggest and the best air carriers in the industry.

In an era that’s been less than easy for aviation companies, we continue to strive and thrive. It hasn’t been easy these last few years and it would not have happened without the right people.

“Team” is an overused buzzword in business today. But I don’t know any better way to describe who we are. The team at Aloha Contract Services and the team at Pacific Air Cargo are all the right people - people who help me get up in the morning, make the tough decisions, and close the hangar doors at the end of the day. While our company is widespread, providing service across sea to shining sea - L.A. to Honolulu, Samoa and all over the Pacific Rim - we are very small organization when it comes to who we really are.

A group of more dedicated, savvy, aviation service experts you couldn’t find anywhere. We are blessed with people who may at times disagree, but do so in an effort to form a common ground, to find a business solution that is above and beyond our clients’ call of service. Some of these people, the 1,000 or so at Aloha Contract Services, you might say I “inherited” from the closure of Aloha Airlines. They joined our already existing strong team at Pacific Air Cargo. Together, we formed a more perfect union, if you will grant me that.

Common purpose and a will to be the best is our culture at ACS and PAC. The teams at our airport stations all over the islands and in Los Angeles have helped me carve out a path that we think will serve our growth well. We constantly get letters of kudos from clients, thanking us for the extra care and attention we gave their precious cargo when they shipped with Pacific Air Cargo. And we receive an equal amount of notes of appreciation from the management of major airlines, thanking our team at Aloha Contract Services for providing exceptional baggage and passenger/guest services handling for their airlines.

And to that, I add my heart-felt appreciation for a job well done each day and each night to each and every person who wears an ACS or PAC ID.

This team is the way to fly!
