Like most malihini, I have been captivated by Hawaii’s beauty. As recently as just a couple of years ago, had anyone said to me that I would one day live and work in these islands, I would not have believed it. However, the reality of where I live sets in every morning as I make my way to downtown Honolulu. Although I start my drive thinking about the day ahead and what needs to be done, I can’t help but soak in the magnificent sights along the way. It amazes my wife, that after a year of living here, I still call her every Friday afternoon as I am headed home and ask her, “Do you want to spend the weekend with me in paradise?”

Since coming here a year ago from the Bay Area, I’ve grown to realize that what makes Hawaii special is not only its beauty, but its warm and welcoming people. I am fortunate to have met local business people who have extended themselves to me and welcomed me into the community. And as senior vice president-director of PM Realty Group, it is my good fortune to work alongside the talented individuals who represent our company here and who have also made me feel at home.

At PM Realty Group, our slogan “Because Performance Matters” is the basis for the way we operate. We firmly believe in over-delivering to our clients, whether in property management or commercial sales and leasing. Our primary focus is on client retention, and our ability to consistently meet and exceed our clients’ expectations is a tribute to the quality of our employees.

What sets PM Realty Group apart is our extensive employee training programs. We believe the most valuable investment a company can make is in broadening and honing the skills of our employees. We spend a great deal of time and money in creating training programs for each and every position in the company. We give our employees the tools and training to do their jobs with confidence and pride, and as a result, PM Realty Group has built a reputation for having the finest employees in the market. Because of the considerable investment of time and money in training each employee, we are extremely selective as to whom we bring into our company. All our key players have been hand-picked because of their in-depth experience, professionalism and stellar reputations in the community.

Standing by our slogan, PM Realty Group is committed to excellence and to providing the highest standard and quality of real estate services to our corporate, institutional and investment clients. Our objective is to be recognized in Hawaii as the best management company in the industry and, of course, to exceed our clients’ expectations.

PM Realty Group is a privately held, national real estate services organization with more than 1,100 employees and 20 divisional and regional offices around the country. Based in Houston, Texas, the company traces its roots to 1954. PM Realty Group today conducts business in nearly every state, providing comprehensive real estate services to institutions, investors, corporations, real estate investment trusts, government agencies and health-care providers. It has been offering services to the Hawaii market since 1989, first through its predecessor-ininterest, BetaWest Properties Inc., then via acquisition in 1995.
