Executive vice president and general manager of dck pacific

For more than seven decades, dck pacific has helped shape Hawaii’s skyline, from government facilities and office towers to resorts and retail projects. Founded in 1939 as Pacific Construction, our company has grown significantly in the intervening years.

Today, dck pacific has more than 175 employees and is a part of a corporation that operates across the country and around the globe. Over the years, we’ve never forgotten our local roots. We at dck know that success is driven by relationships and that at its core, construction is a “people business.” Our reputation for excellence and customer service has been earned by our employees, the ambassadors of our brand who strive to give their best whether they’re working on a modest commercial renovation or building a large, complex military facility. While we’re known as the company that built the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and the First Hawaiian Bank tower, we’ve never taken success for granted. We’ve kept working to improve and have recently been privileged to complete some of the most prestigious projects in the Islands, including the Hawaii Regional Security Operations Center and Hilton’s Grand Waikikian.

dck pacific has been building Hawaii for over 70 years

We’ve always loved delivering new and creative solutions, and we’re excited by the opportunities presented by Hawaii’s clean energy goals. The global resources and expertise in renewable energy we’re now able to bring to the Islands, thanks to our worldwide operations, wouldn’t have been possible in years past. We look forward to helping build the renewable energy infrastructure of the future - from photovoltaic facilities and wind farms to biomass plants and geothermal facilities, there’s nothing we can’t build.

Given our legacy here, giving back to the community we’re a part of has always been important. In partnership with Target, we’re assisting with the Blanche Pope Elementary School Library makeover project to improve the learning opportunities for the children of Waimanalo. In addition, for the past 15 years, we’ve held a “Partnering with the Community” Golf Event that has raised more than $200,000 for local charities.

Throughout my career, I have strived to exceed the expectations of those around me, and I am proud to say that our entire company shares this aspiration on each and every project, however large or small.
