Though my career at Hawaiian Isles Water Company has only been a few years or so, I have been able to see our family business go through many different stages in trying to serve Hawaii’s best bottled water over the past 15 years.

Hawaiian Isles Water Company, which started in 1996, sprang from the desire and vision to bring Hawaii’s water to the people of Hawaii. At the time, there were large national beverage companies providing bottled water in the market, but no locally based companies with a large presence. As a local family business, we wanted to be able to serve and provide the people of Hawaii some of the purest water in the world.

We attribute our current success to three things: people, quality and community. First and foremost, the employees of Hawaiian Isles Water Company and our sister company Hawaiian Isles Distributors have been the backbone of our organization. They have all devoted countless hours to not only get our products to customers, but also to constantly look for ways to improve how we do business. That environment cultivates great decision-making, and has been very important for us in our efforts to compete with larger national companies on a daily basis.

In addition to having strong people, we have a constant focus on maintaining the highest level of quality for all of our bottled-water products. All Hawaiian Isles Water that goes into everything from our 500-ml bottles to our 5-gallon home or office bottles is put through a seven-stage purifying process and quality-control checks that involve tests for clarity, turbidity, PH, taste, odor, chromium 6 and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). In addition, we also have tests conducted by an independent certified laboratory to ensure that we are indeed providing the purest water possible to our customers.

We also make sure to focus on giving back to the community. We are part of the Hawaii community and feel that it is important to give back. Our recent efforts with the U.S. military to supply more than 4,000 cases of water to Japan, and our sister company’s (Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Company) recent “Bags of Hope” fundraiser have both expanded our focus to our friends in Japan, who we feel are a part of our Hawaii community as well. We have additionally been and continue to be proud supporters in various extents to the Special Olympics, MADD, American Red Cross and the YMCA.

We at Hawaiian Isles Water would like to thank you, and we look forward to continuing to provide “the refreshingly pure taste of Hawaii.”
