A Comment on Dan Boylan’s Job Destroyers column,
Dan where do you get your figures and your math?
Corporate profits have risen by 250%, executive incomes have risen 430% OK but workers wages only 26%? It is obvious that the minimum wages has risen from $1.60 to $7.25 in that time period an increase of 450% remarkably similar to the executive incomes. The National Average Wage Index had risen from $6,881 in 1970 to a current index of $58,744 a remarkable increase of 853%. Nearly double the percentage on executive incomes.
A rant and a rave but it appears that your are numbers are at serious fault to make your point.  What were you making in 1970 and what are you making now? I should hope you would be making more as most of us are.  Inflation is an amazing thing it effects all of us; the rich, the poor and everyone in the middle but what it really does is rob all of us of our accumulated wealth.
