Rix Opens At Kahala

Kahala Mall welcomes Rix Island Wear, a new creation from Crazy Shirts founder Rick Ralston.

Ralston, who pioneered the printed T-shirt industry in Hawaii with the opening of his first T-shirt store in Waikiki in 1963, retired 10 years ago. However, he’s back in business with a new retail operation specializing in creative designs in aloha wear. The store carries aloha shirts, logo T-shirts, cargo shorts and caps. All Rix aloha shirts are made of machine washable 100 percent cotton and made in Hawaii.

At Kahala Mall, Rix Island Wear is located near Starbucks. For more information, visit rixislandwear.com or call 735-0749.

New Stores At Ala Moana Center

Ala Moana Center has announced that Diane Von Furstenberg, one of the premier names in American fashion, will be opening its first Hawaii store in November. Renowned for its iconic wrap dress and signature prints, DVF has expanded her collection to include ready-to-wear, swimwear, handbags, footwear, accessories and more.

Also coming this fall is Jollibee, the largest fast-food chain in the Philippines, serving up its own brand of American-style fast food and Filipino-influenced dishes that have become local customer favorites.

The mall recently welcomed abercrombie kids, Bath & Body Works, and Australian-based Gilly Hicks, which is known for its wide variety of youthful, comfortable and flirty loungewear and lingerie.
