All Dolled Up: Beauty Bar At Pearl

Pearl at Ala Moana Center celebrates Recessionistas by hosting its once-a-month All Dolled Up: Beauty Bar Thursday, June 18, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Event highlights include complimentary beauty bar featuring brow waxing, makeovers, manicures, massages and hairstyling courtesy of Marsha Nadalin Salon, and a free goodie bag to the first 50 ladies courtesy of Pearl. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. The event is open to adults age 21 and over and there is no cover charge.

Beauty Workshop With Stephen Moleski

Stephen Moleski (pictured below), makeup artist to some of Hollywood’s hottest stars, will be in Kailua for a one-day beauty workshop July 28.

The training session will be held at Mid Pacific Country Club in Lanikai from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration fee is $425 ($350 if paid in full by June 30) and includes training, lunch, an instructional pamphlet by Moleski and a goody bag featuring sample products by L’BRI Pure n’ Natural and other various items.

Moleski is the featured makeup artist on Keeping up with the Kardashians and has a growing list of Hollywood clients including Nicole Scherzinger, Kris Jenner, Eva Longoria, Julianne Hough, Brooke Burke and many others. Below Moleski is pictured applying makeup on Khloe Kardashian.

Father’s Day Events At Windward Mall

Windward Mall partners with Hawaii Coalition for Dads for its 11th annual Celebrate Fathers event Saturday, June 20.

At 11 a.m. join the students from Kahaluu Elementary for a special Father’s Day ukulele concert at Center Court. At 12:30 p.m. dancers from Halau Ka Pa Hula O Ka Lei Hula Hiwa from St. John Vianney School will take the stage. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Adventure Balloons will delight children and adults alike with their innovative balloon sculptures ranging from balloon hats to wacky cartoon caricatures. Then at 1 p.m. it’s the Father-Child Look-Alike contest open to pairings of children and father-figures. Contestants are judged on the resemblance between pairs, interaction between the two, as well as information provided on their entry form. This year the coveted grand prize is a Sony PlayStation 2 Bundle (consisting of a console and two PS2 games) paired with a father-friendly prize of an overnight stay and breakfast for two at The Royal Hawaiian.
