Crazy Shirts Creates Hula Quake T-shirt

Crazy Shirts has created a commemorative “Hula Quake” T-shirt, featuring a Richter scale graphic on the front, and the date, times and magnitudes of the quakes on the back.along with “I Survived The Quakes, The Hawaiian Islands Hula.”

The standard white crew T-shirts are priced at $23, and are available at all Crazy Shirt retail outlets in Hawaii.

A portion of the proceeds from sales of the “Hula Quake"T-shirt will be donated to local charities to support the recovery of those whose homes and lives were affected by the earthquakes on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006.

Macy’s Petite Fashion Show

If you’re 5-feet-4-inches tall or under, this event is for you. Macy’s Petite Fashion Show takes place Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at Macy’s Ala Moana-Petites Department, Level 3.

This is an event for petites of all ages to relish a season of change in styles that fit you. The show will include a fashions from designers Eileen Fisher, AK Anne Klein, Jones New York, INC International Concepts, Nine West, Liz Claiborne, Aimee D., Kaua’iana, Softwear and Lauren M. KHNL meteorologist Sharie Shima will host this special fashion show highlighting fall styles made exclusively for petite women.

Standing 5-feet-1-inch tall, Shima herself is a perfect example of a “typical” petite woman. Petites are 5-feet-4-inches tall and under. Despite what many people may think, petite sizes are related only to height; petites may be slender or not; but none is tall.

At the show, customers are invited to enjoy refreshments while they shop. Shoppers also will receive a special discount for the day. With a purchase of at least $100, shoppers will receive a gift bag and a $10 Macy’s gift card while supplies last.

Those attending the show are encouraged to make a suggested donation of $10 to benefit the American Heart Association. Women are also encouraged to raise awareness of heart disease by wearing red.
