Robyn Rhodes Exclusive Summer Trunk Show At Cottage By The Sea

Cottage by the Sea celebrates its new store at Ward Warehouse (below Kincaid’s Restaurant) with a summer trunk show featuring jewelry by Robyn Rhodes on June 1 to 3 from noon to 7 p.m. Robyn Rhodes has been designing jewelry for as long as she can remember. Four years ago she left a lucrative career in Hollywood to pursue her dream full time.

She began by creating glass pendant necklaces, giving them as gifts to friends and family. Her jewelry was an instant hit, and she has since expanded into making unique earrings, lariats, necklaces, bracelets, and rings from semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls. Recently, Robyn’s designs have been featured in numerous magazines and seen on many celebrities such as Paula Abdul, Jessica Alba, Penelope Cruz and more.

At the upcoming trunk show, Robyn will have with her hundreds of earrings, necklaces and customized pieces available for sale, including her new 2007 Heart Collection. All of her pieces will be 15 percent off, as well as the entire store inventory. For more information, call 591-9811.

Earth Friendly Designs At Crazy Shirts

Crazy Shirts wants your help to Save Our Planet. That’s what the latest designs from Crazy Shirts are saying. The Hawaii-based apparel company recently unveiled T-shirts that make both a fashion and environmental statement.

Customers can select from two current designs conceived by Crazy Shirts creative director Eric Robison — one featuring a world globe painting toned in red with either the slogan “Save Our Planet” or “Global Warming Sucks!” or one which reads “Stay Cool” with a polar bear happily floating on an iceberg. Crazy Shirts will donate a portion of the sales from all of its global warming products to the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute, a research unit of the University of Hawaii conducting research to find new forms of energy that would replace the nation’s tremendous dependence on fossil fuels.

The shirts are available in men’s and women’s sizes and retail for $24- $29. The rest of the line includes stickers, hats and messenger bags. For more information, call 800-771- 2720 or visit www.crazyshirts.com
