Island Slipper hosts a grand-opening celebration of its new Ward Warehouse location April 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with entertainment by Makana, Jeff Peterson, Puamana and Ernie Cruz Jr. The event is free and open to the public.

The store also will be collecting donations for the Surfrider Spirit Sessions throughout the day.

“We’re calling it a Slippahpalooza,” jokes owner John Carpenter.

Previously located next to The Liquor Collection, The Island Slipper Store is now on the ewa end of Ward Warehouse, next to Merle Norman, across from the food court.
