The New Baby & Kids Expo takes place Saturday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Neal Blaisdell Center with more than 150 exhibitors and more than a dozen fun family activities. New Balance Hawaii, an athletic footwear and apparel shop, has opened at Ward Centre. The family-owned company was established in the early 1900s and makes a variety of footwear ranging from walking to football shoes. It has also developed an entirely new clothing line in vogue with all the latest athletic fashions. “I worked at an athletic shoe store for more than six years and New Balance approached me to open their store in Hawaii,” says Darin Hashimoto, general manager. “I really appreciate their values and their grassroots approach to business.” Call: 593-7773.
