Ala Moana Center welcomes 16 new retailers to the mall as part of its multi-million-dollar retail expansion project.

The new retailers are scheduled to open in early 2008 and include Ash & Diamonds, Bare Escentuals, Blue Hawaii Lifestyle, Chico’s, Design Within Reach, Janie & Jack, J. Crew, Kahala, The Kiss, Le Grand Marqet, Lululemon Athletica, Miki House, Philip Rickard Factory Showroom, Ponte Vecchio, Sunglass Icon and Vera Bradley.

The major expansion at Ala Moana is projected to add approximately 30 new stores situated on a two-level retail concourse that will connect the existing mall to Hawaii’s first full-line Nordstrom department store. When complete, the project will add approximately 300,000 square feet of new retail to the center, increasing its size to just over 2.1 million square feet of retail space. Nordstrom and a number of the center’s new merchants are slated to open their doors March 7, 2008.

The names of 10 additional stores opening as part of the two-level retail concourse are expected to be announced shortly when leases are finalized. In addition, four Ala Moana Center favorites, Ann Taylor, Max & Co., White House Black Market and Williams Sonoma, will relocate from their current mall locations into the new expansion area.

Also, when complete, customers can look forward to the addition of a brand new, five-story, 800-stall parking structure that will be situated adjacent to Nordstrom. For more information, visit www.AlaMoanaCenter.com/expansion
