Project Runway Casting For Season 9

Do you have what it takes to be the next top fashion designer? Do you want a chance to show your fashion designs during New York Fashion Week? Do you want to win $100,000 to launch your own fashion line?

Project Runway is looking for the next great fashion designer, and is casting now for its Season 9.

Salvation Army Celebrity Fashion Show May 7

The Salvation Army presents its 23rd annual celebrity fashion show luncheon and boutique May 7 at the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel. Sponsored by Bank of Hawaii, the fashion show will feature stylish pre-owned apparel, such as the outfits pictured below: Mahealani Richardson wears a white sweater top by Bebe $10, skirt $7, blue handbag $7; long dress $9; Narcissus Queen Ningjin Miao models an orange blouse by Express $5; floral dress $8, purse $5.

Guests also can purchase the best in thrift fashion at bargain prices at the fashion boutique to be set up in the hotel’s lobby area. Apparel modeled during the fashion show also will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the event which is sponsored by The Salvation Army Auxiliary of Honolulu, will benefit The Salvation Army’s social service programs that help families in need.


The fashion boutique opens at 9 a.m. followed by the luncheon and fashion show at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $60. Call 440-1859 for reservations.
