Sip N Shop At Global Village

Global Village in Kailua is hosting a night of champagne and shopping in support of Pets2Vets June 23 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Entry is a $5 donation at the door. Festivities include a Stella & Dot trunk show, and customers can enjoy 20 percent off all merchandise throughout the store. There also will be door prizes, and the first 40 customers receive a goodie bag valued at $25.

Pets2Vets is a nonprofit organization that helps heal the lives of our nation’s heroes and sheltered animals by providing cost-effective and readily accessible adoptions and health care so that both may live in dignity.

“We chose this organization because we are so close to the Marine Corps base here (on the Windward side), and we’re hoping by bringing awareness to Pets2Vets that we can help build it so that we can have access to their services for some of our veterans in Hawaii,” says Debbie Hopkins, co-owner of Global Village. “Pets2Vets needs more support and recognition.”

Brunch Fashion Show At Wolfgang’s

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener at Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki will present brunch fashion shows on the last Saturday of each month, featuring fashions from a variety of exciting designers.

Kicking off the first “Last Saturday” event this month will be local designer Cindy King of Acid Dolls. Happening June 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., King will show her Summer 1 collection called Nautical Nice, an ocean-inspired summer line filled with nautical stripes, flirty florals and happy polka dots.

The “Last Saturday” brunch and fashion show menu is $35 and includes a brunch cocktail (champagne, mimosa, Bloody Mary or bellini), appetizer (soup of the day, chopped salad, Caesar salad or melon and berries), entree (Wolfgang’s eggs Benedict, French toast, Omelette, rigatoni Bolognese or, for an additional $10, petit filet mignon), and coffee or tea.

Attendees also will receive an Acid Dolls $20 gift certificate for in-store purchases totalling more than $75.

Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome on a space-available basis. For more information or to make a reservation, call 922-3600.
