World Festival At Ala Moana Center

Ala Moana Center will host its fifth annual World Festival — Hawaii’s Fashion Week — Oct. 30 through Nov. 5, featuring fashion shows, special in-store events, exhibitions, exclusive World Festival product and more. This year, there will be special guest appearances by Steve Kemble (pictured below) of US Weekly’s Fashion Police, Yunjin Kim of ABC’s hit TV series Lost, and Shiho, one of Japan’s top models. There will also be demonstrations by visiting Parisian craftsmen at Hermes and Louis Vuitton; a runway fashion show at Dior; and world renowned make-up artists at MAC, Dior and Sephora. Wednesday, Nov. 1

6 to 8 p.m. - DKNY & In Style magazine hold a fall fashion soiree to benefit Diamond Head Theatre. Enjoy 15 percent off all purchases and receive a key to stylish giveaways. 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - MAC Global Artists at Centerstage. Get hot ideas on the latest makeup trends. MAC’s renowned global artists Gregory Arlt, Louise Zizzo and Victor Cembellin will host the event.

Thursday, Nov. 2

2:30 to 3 p.m. - World Festival Fashion Showcase at Centerstage. This will be a rare opportunity to view all the World Festival exclusive and limited edition products and also to see presentations by special celebrity guests and artists. There will also be a special appearance by Shiho, one of Japan’s top models; and by Steve Kemble from Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? and US Weekly’s Fashion Police page.

3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - MAC Global Artists at Centerstage

Friday, Nov. 3

All Day - Ben Bridge Timeworks Watch Fair/Trunk Show (Nov. 3, 4 &5)

11 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Sephora BareEscentuals Event (appointment recommended)

1 to 7 p.m. - MAC In-Store Event with Global Artists (appointment recommended)

4 to 6 p.m. - Vogue magazine joins with LaCoste to put on a fashion show, introducing LaCoste’s fall line of men’s and women’s wear.

Saturday, Nov. 4

11 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Sephora BareEscentuals Event (appointment recommended)

1 to 7 p.m. - MAC In-Store Event with Global Artists (appointment recommended)

4 to 4:30 p.m. - Dior Fashion Show featuring their 2007 Spring/Cruise Collection. Runway stage will be at the storefront for general audience viewing.

Macy’s Woman Fashion Show Event Nov. 4

Preview the latest fall styles for the plus-sized woman — sizes 14W to 24 W — from some of today’s leading fashion designers at a special Macy’s Woman Event on Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m. at Macy’s-Ala Moana Center (Special Events Room, Level 3, across from the Pineapple Room restaurant). Lina Girl from KCCN FM 100 will host the fashion show, which will highlight the season’s must-have items for fall from Eileen Fisher, Charter Club, INC International Concepts, Style & Co., Nine West, Alfani, Baby Phat, Jones New York Signature and more.

Customers will be served refreshments while they shop, and customers who spend $125 or more on Macy’s Woman merchandise will receive a $20 Macy’s gift card and a gift bag with items from featured designers. A suggested donation of $10 will benefit the American Heart Association.

The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. To RSVP, call 945-6427.
