Bountiful buffets

Everybody loves a good buffet. The first time through you can pile your plate with a little of everything, and going for seconds provides a chance to load up on the foods you liked best. Luckily for us hungry folks,there are plenty of places serving up buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here’s a glance:

Pagoda has something for everyone.

The restaurant not only has a neat name,but also serves up a pretty neat buffet at breakfast and dinner time - every day.

For breakfast, it’s an all-you-caneat lineup of scrambled eggs, French toast, fried rice, sauteed fish, miso soup, potato pancakes, breakfast meats, fresh fruits and pastries. The buffet costs $9.50, so eat up! Coffee and juice are also offered. Breakfast hours are Monday-Friday 6:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday 6:30-11:30 a.m., and Sunday 6:30-9:30 a.m.


For dinner, guests choose from soup du jour, selections from the salad and appetizer bar (poke,sashimi, bara and maki sushi), prime rib, crab legs, shrimp and vegetable tempura and dessert bar.Each night of the week,the chef also offers special entree selections. The selections change nightly, for example Sunday is shrimp scampi,char siu pork ribs. Mondays it’s butterfish misoyaki, braised boneless Asian short ribs, and so on.You can always call and ask what the daily specials are. Dinner is served from 4:30 to 9 p.m. and is $23.95 adults/$10.95 kids on weekdays and $25.95 adults/$12.95 for ages 5-10 on weekends. *Prices will change in June.

Shanghai Bistro Chinese fusion.

On weekdays, the bistro offers up its famous Chinese fusion cuisine buffet style, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The menu features an allyou-can-eat selection of dim sum, salad and soup, and includes vegetarian dishes. Choose from various entrees, including shrimp, steak, pork chop, salmon steak, kung pao chicken, beef mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork, vegetarian hot and spicy tenderloin steak or vegetarian noodle.Ask about the daily dessert special.


For the weekend, the bistro prepares a “Special Northern and Hong Kong style” brunch. Featured items include deep-fried calamari, spring roll, beef onion, gau, baked egg, rice, tofu flower, shrimp with lobster sauce, barbecue pork bun and more. The brunch is $15.95 per person.

A Korean experience at Camellia

A unique blend of local and traditional Korean food satisfies the hungry at this daily buffet restaurant. For lunch and dinner, guests choose from soups (miso, seaweed or red bean), rice (white, red bean or fried), main dishes (kal bi, bulgogi, chicken or spicy pork) and hot dishes (spicy chicken wings, fried noodles or fried tofu). Steamed calamari, mushrooms, tossed salad, corn and somen noodles and other dishes also are offered. From the dessert station, try the orange/strawberry Jell-O, orange slices, pineapple or gamju (sweetened water with rice). Lunch costs $11.95 for adults and $8 for ages 5-10.

The dinner lineup adds sashimi, flap meat, long rice, ice cream and homemade mandoo to the menu. Dinner is $16.75 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-10.
