Both Dixie Grill locations are firing up the grill and getting ready to re-instate one of last summer’s most popular promotions.

The Ward Avenue restaurant is bringing back Southern fried chicken dinners beginning this month. Dinners feature three pieces of crispy fried chicken, col-lard greens, homemade biscuits with honey and fresh preserves, and mashed potatoes for only $9.95. “Want seconds,” asks owner Ed Wary. “Just ask.” The special is in effect from 2 p.m. each Sunday in April.

At Dixie Grill in Aiea, enjoy “Smokin’Saturdays"in April when General Manager Patrick Dolan fires up the BBQ grills in the parking lot with mesquite and chicory to make perfect pork. For only $11, Dixie Grill will cut off a full pound slab, add in corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and gravy, and BBQ sauces, and serve until all the pork is gone. This is a perfect drive-through treat to pick up or ideal for enjoyment inside Dixie Grill, each Saturday from 2 p.m.
