Reservations at Romano’s.

Tired of turning up at your favorite restaurants and being handed a beeper and told to come back in an hour? Romano’s Macaroni Grill, the popular Italian restaurant at Ala Moana Center, has decided to listen to customer pleas to take reservations. “We listen to our customers,“says general manager Darren Yasui, who admits that the restaurant has been inundated with requests from customers to take reservations ever since it opened.

Waits of up to an hour are fine when you’re having a leisurely shop at the mall, but when you’re meeting friends for dinner, it’s nice to be able to tell them when! “We thought this would be a good time to start taking reservations,“Darrin says,“with Easter, and Mother’s Day just around the corner.”

The end to long lines means more people can now enjoy the friendly family atmosphere at this well-priced restaurant where Chef Michael Longworth creates Italian dishes with a Tuscan flair. Specials now being offered include Vodka Rustica, Pork Chops Emiliana and Brick Oven Formaggio, and new menu dishes debuting this month include Penne with Oven-Roasted Chicken,Seafood Linguine,Chicken and Shrimp Scaloppine, Chicken Sorrentino and Amaretto Apple Crispetti.
