Jason New

Aloha from Hollywood! Actor Jason New from Lahaina currently lives in L.A. He worked on Crash with Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Esposito, Don Cheadle and Matt Dillon. The film is an edgy and gritty look at life in L.A. from different perspectives. Go see this one. You may remember Jason as Lorenzo who was the groom of Pamela Anderson in Baywatch:  Hawaiian Wedding. It was the most sought after role at the time. If you’re in Manhattan Beach you might catch him eating at Back Home in Lahaina. Yes, he’s homesick. His fave there is Korean BBQ chicken with rice. You can get great local food there. I met Jason in acting class and became fast friends. He always joked around that he and I were the best looking guys in class. Ladies, what do you think? …

Promoter Alan Arato is heading the In Magazine marketing department now. Emily Lopez is the publisher of this entertainment, fashion and lifestyle magazine. He co-produced Dance Fever with Tom Moffatt and Yemun Chung, featuring singer Yvonne Elliman as the headliner a few years ago. Alan was raised in Kalihi and graduated from Farrington High. His recent credit was the recent Ray Romano event. By the way, Ray was seen at Sandy Beach with his crew enjoying the surf. Alan mentioned Al Pacino and Sally Field and Ono’s Hawaiian food as faves. My favorite of his productions is the annual Halloween Shockhouse at the Blaisdell. It’s kind of an early warning for everyone. Don’t miss it this fall ...

Congratulations to Michael Lanzo on his recent marriage to Triniti Jezer. Michael was born in New Jersey and graduated from the University of Rhode Island. Hawaii is definitely home now to this incredibly talented actor. You can’t miss Michael with his ice blue eyes and good Italian looks. His debut was on Outside Providence starring Alec Baldwin and written by Peter and Bobby Farrelly. The brothers did the hilarious movie Stuck on You with Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear and Wen Yann Shih, who played Matt’s love interest. Back to Michael. He enjoys eating sashimi and going to California Pizza Kitchen. Going back in time a bit. Michael loves the movie From Here to Eternity, which was filmed in the islands in 1953. And his idol happens to be Montgomery Clift, who starred in it with Deborah Kerr, Burt Lancaster and Ol’ Blue Eyes himself Frank Sinatra. Next up for Michael? Politics ...
