Newly crowned Miss
Hawaii Teen USA
Hannah Keikiokanani
Thomas

Hannah Keikiokanani Thomas garnered the title of 2006 Miss Hawaii Teen USA at the Sheraton Waikiki. She also won the most photogenic and swimsuit categories. She currently attends Kamehameha Schools as a junior. Hannah is the class communications director for its student leadership group. She likes Steven Spielberg movies and actors Jack Black, Tom Cruise and Mike Myers. Hannah’s pastime is composing and singing her original music. She studies Hawaiian language and visited Kahoolawe with her classmates. She loves Hawaiian food and anything made with chocolate, and is known to frequent Teddy’s Bigger Burgers in Hawaii Kai - one of my faves, too. Like the classic movie The Endless Summer, Hannah is looking forward to a long summer vacation ...

Introducing sound designer Jacob Gabriel, who’s been making inroads in the film industry. Born and raised on the Leeward Coast, he’s an alumni of Campbell High School. He worked with rapper Dr. Dre and Cecilio & Kapono, to name a few celebrity artists. Jacob did the music production for the award-winning Valtor the Great vs. The Universe by Gerard Elmore. Gerard happens to be a Campbell graduate too. Casino, Goodfellas and The Usual Suspects are Jacob’s choice for movies, and his favorite person is his son, Dalvin, which is very admirable. Other favorites include old school R&B performers Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson. You can contact Jacob at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to utilize his talent. On his rare day off, you’ll find Jacob and Dalvin at the Japanese-Italian restaurant Angelo Pietro. Hey, can I tag along with you guys? ...

Farewell to producers Dusty Cross and Sandi Schneiderman, who relocated to Austin, Texas. The city is the gathering place for indie filmmakers. They produced the horror thriller The Orb starring Steve Boatright, Jason Cross, Gerard Elmore, Dezmond Gilla, Lew Lappert, Julius Ledda, Scott Ok, Reid Seto and Chad Thurman. Not to forget the gorgeous leading ladies Ioulia Alcorn, Jenny Chang, Nicole Gose, Malia Ho, Sarina Smith and Glennel Warren. The film was directed by Scott Mason and premiered at the 2005 Hawaii International Film Festival. The movie was screened to a sold-out audience. Check out the website at http://www.sandust.com for more information. To local fans of Sandi’s and Dusty’s projects, don’t worry, they’ll be back ...
