Kauai High alumni Edison Erorita was cast in the documentary Mabuhay with Aloha, The Hawaii Filipino Experience 1906-2006 by Emme Tomimbang. The show will air on KHON-2 June 28-29 from 9-10 p.m. Edison is a triple threat in showbiz - meaning he can sing, dance and act equally well. Ana Alves, Juliana Lima and Vanessa Valansi of BYUH and Ginelle Palau of UH-Hilo were named all-conference first team that year. Doris is once again prepping her students for the International Performing Arts Conference in Hollywood. I got a chance to meet some up-and-coming talent recently. Where in the world is film-maker Gerard Elmore now? He was back in New York where the Crown Royal TV headquarters is located. He’s busy circling the landscape as a TV correspondent for the Crown Royal racing team. Gerard was cast as Blake in the N Channel’s Beyond The Break TV series. A little background on Gerard is that he’s a graduate of UH-Manoa and Campbell High. He hit the big time when his movie, Valtor the Great Vs. the Universe won the Best Short Film Award at the 2005 Hawaii International Film Festival.
