Mary Ann Taheny shone in her role in The Hidden Battle by filmmaker Jeff Katts last week. The movie premiered to an enthusiastic crowd at Regal Dole Cannery Theatres. Born and raised in San Francisco, she knew at a young age she wanted to be an actress. Her ethnicity is Irish and Lebanese. Mary Ann will be on the silver screen at the 2006 Hawaii International Film Festival. She has a leading role in Dark Clouds starring Jack Smart, Bob Stevens, David Diebold, Rico Tudor, Scott Francis Russell, Matthew Thompson and Derek Calibre. She studied with casting director Anna Fishburn and acting coach Wayne Ward. I’ll keep you posted on this talented actress from the city by the bay ...

Originally from Ithaca in upstate New York is actor Michael deYcaza. He’s been steadily working as one of the “Others” in my all-time favorite show Lost. His first professional credit came on another hit series called Magnum P.I. - remember that one? His death scene in Unlikely Lawman was memorable because he was literally inches away from me.

Michael was the psycho with the straight razor about to take out the eyeball of Joe Moore‘s character. Stunt coordinator Colin Fong choreographed the final shootout in the saloon. Michael’s recent film and TV credits include You, Me and Dupree, 50 First Dates, The Big Bounce and Beyond the Break. Next up is the premiere of Lost at Sunset on the Beach this weekend. We’ll see you all there ...
